Yes, the form comes straight from the IRS website.

Where does my information go?

Your W-9 is on our server only while you work on it and is deleted when you close it. Nothing is sent to the IRS or anyone else; you download the finished form and send it yourself.

Are my files safe?

Files travel encrypted. With the free tools, each file is deleted from our server when you close it. With a plan you choose: delete each file when you close it, or keep your files for 30 days so Open Recent works, and delete everything at any time. The Windows app keeps your files on your own PC.
