Do I need Word on my computer?

No. The conversion is done for you on our server, so it works on a Chromebook, a borrowed computer or a phone.

Will my fonts and layout stay the same?

Most documents come out looking as they do in Word. An unusual font may be swapped for a close match, so give the PDF a quick look before you send it.

Are my files safe?

Files travel encrypted. With the free tools, each file is deleted from our server when you close it. With a plan you choose: delete each file when you close it, or keep your files for 30 days so Open Recent works, and delete everything at any time. The desktop app keeps your files on your own computer.
